Catalogue Executive | IKEA Dubai Festival City

At IKEA creating a better everyday life for the many isn't only our vision, it's our way of life!We are looking to recruit an experienced Catalogue Executive to join our IKEA team in Dubai Festival City. You will be responsible for applying knowledge and adapting the IKEA Catalogue in the UAE market

Additional responsibilities include:

Catalogue Production:

* Ensures that the Arabic version of the IKEA catalogue to the local market. This includes price setting in Arabic and proofreading of texts and prices

Catalogue Distribution:

* Assists Catalogue Specialist with the catalogue distribution in the primary and catalogue distribution areas
* Studies the market along with the catalogue Specialist from time to time with the catalogue distribution supplier

Translation:

* Responsible for the translation and proofreading of all Arabic materials from Inter-IKEA Systems BV, The Netherlands.
* Translates the adapted English buying guides into Arabic.
* Assist in proofreading and approval of the Arabic print media ads and Arabic radio ads

Store support:

* Custodian of all manuals in the IKEA Service Office library.
* Working with the store teams to ensure they make effective use of the catalogue to promote the commercial calendar
* Point of contact for any Customer issues relevant to Catalogue and escalation point of error handling/case management to relevant support units

Requirements


To succeed in this position you must experience working in media communication and marketing communication techniques and ideally, have gained this experience within a retail environment. Additionaly, you will be able to demonstrate:

* Excellent communication and proofreading skills in both English and Arabic
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office packages, specifically Illustrator MS Office and Adobe Desktop Publishing PackageÂ
* Leadership ability
* Strategic, analytical and problem solving skills
* Attention to details
* Experience in the production and distribution of retail catalogues
