The Role


Al-Futtaim Panatech, part of the Al-Futtaim Group' Electronics and Engineering Division, is the sole distributor for Panasonic in UAE. Panasonic commands over 20% share of UAE's market for consumer electronics, and is the leader in many categories. The Panasonic brand name is synonymous with cutting edge technology, and is the only brand to have a diverse presence in multiple categories like Audio, Video, Home Appliances, Personal Products, Health & Beauty Care, Telecommunication, Office Automation, Professional Broadcasting, Air-conditioning, Security, Lighting and Building products.
Al-Futtaim Panatech markets Panasonic in the UAE through six branches employing over 250 people in sales, logistics and customer service. The retail strength boasts of a network of over 400 dealers & five showrooms, spread across the UAE.In this role you will be responsible for:Â
Liaison with Principals: Develop & maintain excellent relations and close liaison with the Principals to discuss matters on product planning, pricing, promotion, developing new merchandise and inventory to realize and increase sales and market share
Manage Product Category: Prepare forecasts for every model in each product category after analyzing market trends in order to procure stocks from the Principals at the most competitive price.
Budget and Deployment: Assist in formulating sales budgets, targets, forecasts and deployments for each product group allocated to the job holder based on analysis of market trend/ information.
Marketing Management: Organize market surveys, collate sales trends from sales staff and analyse the information in order to propose and formulate future marketing strategies.
Inventory Management: Monitor and control desired inventory level for the every product category, keeping in view the Principal's requirement, in the most cost-effective manner. The job holder is also required to keep a check on ageing of stock & monitor slow moving items and ensure prompt action to minimize idle stock in order to save financial costs arising thereof.

Advertising & Sales promotion: Co-ordinate with the Advertising & Sales promotion department to prepare advertising budget, plan product advertising including scheduling and selection of media as an input to the advertising agency. The job holder also organizes product seminars and demonstrations for prospective clientele in order to increase market share.

Liaison with Sales Department: Provide necessary product knowledge to sales staff to augment their understanding/ awareness of the product in order to make them more effective in achieving their sales target. The job holder should also contribute in formulating sales strategy to augment model wise sales.

New Product Launch: Organize seminars and demonstrations of new products to provide dealers/ clients information on the product and popularize the same, which will ascertain an increase in sale.

Key Account: Work with sales teams to meet key buyers/managers/operations staff in key accounts to present product plans, promotions, marketing and range planning as well as develop strategies and promotion planning.

To be successful in winning this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

*Degree in Business

*Graduate with good business acumen and product knowledge with an ability to effectively deal with Principals and capable of independently handling assigned product category

*Knowledge of Inventory Management, Sales Forecast and Negotiation

*Promotion creativity

*High level proficiency in analysis tools (i.e. MS Excel)

*General MS Office applications (Word/ PowerPoint/ Project)

*Working knowledge of SAP advantageous
