The Role:
Define the tactical & strategic direction of product lines within each category in line with the product calendars as well as assessing & managing the product Business mix to achieve Company Financial & Business objectives.

The Responsibilities:
As Category Manager you will contribute to the success of the brand by defining the tactical and strategic direction of product lines within each category in accordance with the international and regional product calendars.
* Creates and manages financial operating category plan.
* Creates positioning strategy for category based on competitive and market-place strategic assessment.
* Leverages understanding of competitive market-place to project potential threats to category creating positioning strategy for product categories.
* Manages the product lines through their life-cycles: core, seasonal and promotional.
* Leads the development of new product concepts from conception through implementation.

Skills and Experience:
* Business degree
* 5 years + Category Management experience within food retail/FMCG
* Experience of sourcing and implementing new product lines
* Effective communicator with excellent negotiation skills
* Progressive experience of product or brand management with P&L responsibility.
* Excellent analytical skills
* Advanced Excel
