Category Manager - Supermarkets - Jeddah

Our client is a supermarket chain based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. With multiple store openings planned for 2015, our client is looking for Category Managers to look after the Non-Food Category such as home and personal care as well as non-fresh food such as condiments and confectionary.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing the strategy for the product category working closely with other departments
- Negotiating all purchasing conditions such as purchasing prices, payment days and other relevant terms conditions
- Deciding on the product range in the category
- Managing and developing the Private Label Range .
- Managing existing contracts with suppliers and developing relations with new suppliers as well
- Keeping up-to-date with important legal information or modifications, new purchasing conditions packaging modifications.

Requirements

- Over 6 years buying/category management experience in supermarket and/or hypermarkets.
- Must have experience in the Middle East
- Experience in managing private labels is an advantage
- Open to candidates with experience in purchasing food and non-food
- Strong analytical skills
