Employment: Full Time

The Prime Objective of this role is to ensure that all construction and project related materials and services are procured meeting the correct specification selecting from an approved supplier database offering the customer the best quality and value for money. Ensuring all communication and information to both the suppliers and customer is performed at the highest level of timeliness and accuracy. To lead, mentor and couch your team to enhance there knowledge and skill set to assist in advancing them in there set careers and future goals.

It is expected that commercial terms which are in the best interest of Supreme are negotiated, and agreements are put in place that offer a competitive price but also protects the business against future inflation threats.

This position requires the job holder to work across business departments in conjunction with the Senior Support Manager to deliver initiatives which result in an enhanced category performance; in line with targets as set by time to time. Category plans which have been prepared in consultation with key stakeholders are required to be both completed and delivered in a timely manner, which drive continuous change and improvement within the business.

Requirements

Essential:

• Minimum 5 years in a Purchasing/Procurement/Category Management function within the construction industry.
• 2 years purchasing experience with the GCC/MENA region (UAE) preferred.
• Electrical & HVACR qualifications at a Degree/Diploma level preferred, explicit knowledge of all MEP, carpentry, tools etc technical background.
• Proficiency with contract terms & conditions and negotiations.
• Excellent communication both written and verbal and interpersonal skills within a multi cultural environment
• Self motivating, persuasive, communicative and engaged personality with entrepreneurial thinking and acting
• Proven ability to adapt and manage effectively in faced paced changing and challenging environment.
• Create and maintain computer spreadsheets in Microsoft excel at an intermediate level and above.
• Understanding of purchasing and logistics fundamentals and applying the concepts of operations.
• Multi-task and take independent actions where and when required.
• Solid problem solving skills.

Desirable

• Operational working Knowledge of UN, NATO, ISAF in Afghanistan, Africa etc
• International driving license.
• Cross functional management experience.
