Employment: Full Time

Our prestigious client is a leading global Built Asset Consultancy with over 22,000 professionals worldwide operating in over 70 countries, 300 offices and generating in excess of 2.3 billion in revenue.

Main Purpose of the Job:

The role will be to manage the Supply Chain process on a major programme of works projects will include stadiums and leisure facilities.
This is a long term secure position to work on one of the worlds leading projects

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

A full time role to support the Supply Chain lead in execution of the Supply Chain and Procurement Strategy that has been developed as part of the Programme Management Consultant team (PMC)

Development of Category Strategies to support the overall Supply Chain approach. For critical items of materials and services these strategies will provide plans to ensure demand is met with adequate supply, manage best value and cover both the Programme itself as well as a number of external stakeholder programmes across Qatar

Development of approaches that will address the likely inflationary pressures at a national level from the high levels of demand for key items of materials required from programmes over the next 10 years.

Working to identify and engage Local, Regional and Global suppliers in the identification of best in class supply solutions to the challenges faced in terms of volumes, lead times and cost management

Identification of Value Improvement opportunities that will show demonstrable benefits as part of the Category Management approach and will support the management of supply risk reduction

Management of a number of important internal and external stakeholder relationships that will be critical to successful delivery of Category plans and approaches

Close working with internal design and technical teams and alongside the suppliers own Category Management resources

Requirements

Person Specification / Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

Experience and knowledge of one or more of the following category areas;

Ready mix Concrete & Concrete Raw Materials, Pre-cast Concrete

Steel Rebar, Structural Steel

High Value MEP e.g. lifts, cooling, generators, cables

Roofing, AV systems, catering equipment, curtain walling, bathroom pods

Warehousing, conditioned storage

Experienced in Gulf region procurement and knowledge of Local and Regional supply markets

Strong Analytical skills and ability to present findings in an insightful and concise manner

Ability to engage senior level stakeholders in the Category Strategy development work and to make compelling cases for recommended actions

Experience in Value Improvement activities such as Value Engineering, Standardization, Demand Optimization and Process Improvement

Minimum 8 years experience in either Commercial, Project Management or Supply Chain and Procurement roles across major programmes

MUST be a Member Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply or similar

English and Arabic language skills
