Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

To manage every point of sale to achieve the established goals with the Commercial Manager, measuring and managing the Category, designing or implementing marketing actions with the Commercial Manager, supervising and controlling results to reach the expected commercial margin

Direct reporting to the Commercial Manager - Duty Free

Basic Responsibilities

1. Management of the Business
- Obtain information with regard to the market, competitive products, and estimations of air traffic, customer needs and the satisfaction, in accordance with the established levels within the Company.
- Analyse every point of sale, establishing the annual general lines of action.
- Establish together with the Commercial Manager, the sales objectives and annual commercial margin, and the qualitative objectives to be achieved.
- Elaborate consolidated budgets by sections to asses sales and margins

2. Commercial Management:
- Analyse prices and promotions.
- Build a strong working relationship with the Aldeasa Global Category team.
- Develop a range which denotes Thinking Saudia.
- Communicate with ops Managers, supervisors, sales assistants and fellow category managers the promotions, implementations changes, new suppliers, advertising contracted, etc.
- To establish meetings with Ops managers, supervisors, sales assistants and fellow category managers to:
- Check business evolution
- Get feed back to improve
- Communicate news of the Company and /or suppliers
- Establish improvement actions in relation with the customers
- To analyse working procedures to adapt them to customer needs
- Evaluate Marketing and promotional pre and post analysis and report to the Commercial Manager.

3. Stock Management
- Supervise supply requirements and managing orders.
- Coordinate rotating inventory plans.
- Analyse shortages and implementation of preventive measures.
- Controlling stock levels, verifying that re-stocking in the shops is optimal, and taking the necessary actions to avoid possible deviations.
- Prepare a monthly stock management reports pertaining to your Category.
- Take immediate action on slow moving products.

4. Various
- Guarantee the proper administration of takings and expenses.
- Guarantee the correct implementation of all internal procedures.
- Be always a team player and demonstrate your abilities.
- Attend seminars, exhibitions when necessary and share the experience with rest of your team members.
- Actively take part in meetings and be an effective contributor

Requirements

- You have a minimum of 5 years of total experience including 2-3 years in category management, buying or merchandising for sizeable Travel Retail or Duty Free site (s) and dealing preferably with confectionery, Tobacco, other FMCG
- Candidates with category management, buying or merchandising experience for domestic markets ( supermarkets, convenience store chains, department stores...) will only be considered if they have experience dealing with confectionery.
- You have experience in setting business plan and budget preparation.
- You have good negotiation / listening, organization and analytical skills,
- You have the ability to identify commercial opportunities and consumer market trends
- You have the ambition to manage multiple sites or multiple markets in the future and join an international company that provide long term career opportunities
