The RoleThe RoleAn International chain of up market cafes based in Dubai is currently recruiting for the position of Catering Sales Manager. The role will oversee and manage all the catering sales for the company and will involve generating a client base and achieving sales budgets. The role is predominantly a field based position and will require night and weekend work. • Achieve or better budgeted sales targets • Ensure profitability of department • Generate and follow up client leads • Liaise closely with operational staff on all details of a prospective new contract • Maintain communication with the client once the contract is opened • Liaising with clients and ensuring the success of functions • Constantly be aware of the needs of the customer • Complete a daily/weekly log of all activities • Analyse statistics thereby identifying key sales areas, problems and success rate • Constantly monitor and be aware of competitor activity. • Present a realistic proposal to a prospective client, having thoroughly researched cost factors, and ensure that the proposal is achievable • Constantly be aware of new business opportunities and action these. • Ensure the provision of quality food and service • Ensure correct and punctual completion of all administrative duties • Ensure that invoicing and payment procedures are strictly adhere to • Ensure that hygiene standards comply with company and statutory requirements • Be aware of and respond to the needs of staff, including induction, monitoring performance, coaching and ensuring that appropriate training is effected • Ensure that Occupational Health and Safety regulations are adhered to • Ensure that staff are correctly dressed at all times • Recruit, interview and manage subordinates complying with company and statutory procedures • Practice and be seen to be practicing good industrial relations • Maximizing of selling space through liaison with sales, monitoring of the diary and incoming functions • Developing systems and implementing standards to ensure a smoother running operation • Implementing interdepartmental rules and regulations • Relieve or assist in another company outlet • Attend to customer complaints satisfactorily • Printing of all promotional material i.e. flyers and menus |
RequirementsRequirements• Minimum of 5 years experience in a Sales Manager role preferably within a restaurant or hotel environment • Thorough knowledge of the catering industry • Minimum of 3 years experience in Dubai • Excellent English communication and presentation skills • UAE driving license and own vehicle |
