Centre Manager Riyadh / Al Khobar

We are working with this international provider of welfare to work and educational services, who are leading a new JOB SCHOOLS PILOT introducing Saudi Arabia to a new welfare to work programme commencing in February 2015. They require Centre Managers (Riyadh Male, Al Khobar - Female) to join in January.

This programme will be the first of its type in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and introduce a new model and way of working into the KSA.

The core concept behind the innovative Job Schools Pilot is that it creates a variety of simulated real workplace environments within a single delivery centre.

They require a seasoned, highly experienced manager, who has the ability to lead and direct a team. Whilst applying new thinking and flexibility in the setting up and ongoing leadership of a new business that will deliver an exceptional and valued service to unemployed Saudi nationals, supporting them back into work or in some cases to start work for the first time.

The aim of the project and the role of Centre Manager is to maximise ongoing performance within budget and deliver on other key performance objectives at the same time as maintaining a quality driven service which continues to build in reputation among the people it supports and serves.

Key responsibilities and result areas:
- Full profit and loss management and accountability for the centre
- Responsible and accountable for all operational activity and output ongoing in centre
- Accountable for achievement of all contractual delivery targets including those with quality based criteria
- Overall responsibility for recruitment, performance management and development of an effective staffing team with many cultural norms which are very different to those in most of Western Europe.
- Solving problems and challenges with solutions appropriate to the local culture
- Responsible for ensuring the development and embedding of good practice and a quality driven approach across the whole team including a mentoring and coaching culture to benefit the local inexperienced staffing base for who this will be a brand new way of working.
- Responsible for tangibly building the reputation of the business in the local area and developing strategies to expand and enhance the services offered
- Active supply/partnership management as well as the further ongoing growth and development of networks within the locality.

Requirements

- It is essential the post holder has a clear and flexible communication style and can adapt it to suite the audience and setting. A professional and diplomatic approach to communications is key as well as the highest standard of written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates successful management of front line services to a high quality standard
- Demonstrates the ability to introduce and embed best practice and new ways of working into a delivery model
- Self starter and Innovative problem solver
- Demonstrates ability to achieve targets be they financial or qualitative
- Professional and respectful in management of all situations and leads by example
- Considerable experience of management of large teams within employment/skills sectors
- Can demonstrate understanding, sensitivity to and management of diverse and complex cultural issues without judgement
- Highly organised approach and able to pull out key priorities
- Demonstrates commercial acumen in business decision making
- Exceptional people management skills
- Building a successful team and sustaining performance
- Strong networking skills are essential in this role and the successful applicant must be able to demonstrate evidence of having built prior successful networks to the benefit of the business

Start date will be January 2015
