Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

To manage, and support the Marketing Manager in implementing marketing relations objectives. Establishes, maintains, and continually improve an end-to-end channel ownership. Creates clear-cut strategies to achieve volume, value and market share targets.

An essential role that manages existing marketing business relationship and forging new ones through various initiatives, networking and continuous relationship development.

Major Accountabilities:
1. Creates strategies to drive profitable volume, value and market share aligning with key stakeholders including the Marketing Manager, the Managing Director, Sales Heads and the BU.
2. Expands and enhances marketing relationships at customer level and act as the point of contact for customer marketing [with sales account manager alignment] ensuring satisfaction.
3. Aligns with Sales & Channel Marketing Managers for BP/RE per channel and accounts within channel (where applicable).
4. Ensures all JMB spent is justified and in line with plans agreed between the company and customer having regularreviews of DME expenditure with Finance to ensure all spending are on track.
5. Constantly communicates with procurement and agencies on the creation and adaptation of artworks and POSMs, ensuring all marketing collaterals follow the brand guidelines.
6. Constantly studies with the assistance of suppliers, and in collaboration with procurement, new methods to improve execution and increase transition of products.
7. Supports the channel in effective execution and implementation of campaign, branding and promotional activities.
8. Uses and become fluent with internal numbers (volume, GREEN, RED) and retail audit readings so that plans are formulated with strong logic.
9. OBPPC [Occasion, Brand, Pack, Price, Channel] ownership. Recommends way forward and use KPsI as measurement. This includes possible scenarios to rationalize SKUs.
10. Drives and implements RTM strategy and RGM initiatives.
11. Pre Evaluation discussions: With the assistance of the Zonal Heads/Sales Managers meets customers, participate in discussions/negotiations for renewal/acquisitions, participate in volume estimation, decide on the marketing/activity calendar, and allocate budgets and P&L review.
12. Firming up the Agreement: With the assistance of Sales Account Managers firms up the agreement/channel plans by finalizing volume estimates, the marketing/activity calendar and lock the budgets.
13. Activity Management: Follows through marketing/activity calendar to achieve estimated volumes, remain within budget and assist in execution.
14. Review Performance: Responsible for posting marketing/activity calendar and its post evaluation which includes ROI, effectiveness, volume achievement and cost.
15. Monitors competitive activities and make recommendations for risk mitigating activities.
16. Reviews Retail Audit Data with Sales Managers and decide on key growth drivers and agree on plans.
17. Regularly visits the market to evaluate market conditions, identify problem areas & opportunities, and monitor/recommend merchandising equipment (POSM)

Requirements

- University Degree (or equivalent)
- Fluent in MS Office
- 5 years previous experience in sales and/or commercial marketing within a well-reputed FMCG environment whereby he/she would have acquired exposure to dealing with sales teams, customers as well as launching new products and managing marketing funds.
