Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

1) Manage a section within the kitchen with the assistance of a Commis Chef
2) Ensure that dishes are prepared and cooked according to the specific restaurant standards.
3) Managing the development and supervision of the Commis Chefs on the section, ensuring they are fully trained and understand their duties.
4) Maintain a detailed Knowledge of the full menu and be able to explain dish descriptions.
5) Ensure the cleaning schedule is adhered to and that cleaning tasks are delegated as appropriate.
6) Ensure full understanding of the functional administration of the Restaurant in the Hotel.
7) Ensure all policies, procedures, standards and guidelines are carefully adhered to.

Requirements

1) Previous experience in Italian, Middle Eastern or International Cuisine.
2) Fully understand how the role contributes to the success of the restaurant.
3) Maintain a good level of understanding of the restaurant and hospitality industry.
4) Hardworking and can handle pressure and workload
5) Possess excellent communication skills and a team player
