Chef de Cuisine (The Torch Doha)

The CDC will assist the Executive Chef in managing the operation of his outlet on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities include:
- Direct, coach and evaluate (in conjunction with the Executive Chef) the performance of all direct reports and the CDC is accountable to train them.
- Participate in the daily Executive Chef / Chef meeting and prepare the daily preparation forecast and requisitions.
- Keep the Executive Chef informed of any problems or daily needs.
- Responsible for food cost in his outlet and while ensuring that it is within the hotel budget without compromising the food quality.

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of experience as Chef de Cuisine in a luxury hotel with strong background of Mediterranean Cuisine.
- Preferably European nationality.
- Culinary School degree.
- Good communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service.
- Good practical, operational and adequate administrative skills with a flair for creativity are a must.
- Very strong management skills in a multicultural and dynamic environment.
- Very strong communication, problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal skills.
- Superior customer service, team building and conflict resolution skills.
- Intermediate computer software skills required.
- Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests.

• Building, operating and managing high quality international standard sport facilities • Providing support for staging of sport events and activities • Providing shared services support for the precinct’s business partners – ASPIRE Academy and ASPETAR
