Employment: Full Time

The Chemical Inspector will ensure safety and participant in a multicultural team focusing on the development of chemical inspection processes for the SChem Plant.

This position requires the effectiveness and accuracy of performing chemical inspections of import and export materials. Assures that the chemical inspection process operates and functions in accordance with overall company policy. In addition the Chemical Inspector works closely with process engineering, operations, and stores personnel to coordinate required inspections and verifications of materials.

The Chemical Inspector will involve verifying Certificates of Analysis, knowledge of Port Police and Government requirements, identify proper chemical containers, and verify the Unit of measure requirements. Substitutes for the CC&A lead as required. The successful candidate will be an advocate for safe work, safe driving, housekeeping practices, be proficient in required computer skills, a self-starter/self-motivator and capable of working and communicating effectively with others.
- Must be familiar with MSDS and COAs, the information contained in them, how they are used, and why they are required for each chemical shipment.
- Must be familiar with the analysis that will be performed on the S-Chem export product.
- Coordinate and perform chemical inspections in a timely manner at the airport, port, and plant.
- Must assist with the Process Permit, as required, for import or export items.
- Verify the extraction/sampling of S-Chem products by the Customs appointed agents.
- Knowledge and understanding of KSA laws and regulations for exporting and importing chemical materials.
- KSA driving license and follow S-Chem driving practices.
- Provides trouble shooting and problem resolution support for customs processes and issues.
- Identify proper storage atmospheres for chemicals.
- Develops inspection checklist and reports to reflect KPIs and tracking capabilities for deliveries and shipments.

Requirements

- Diploma or higher
- Preferred College Degree, BS,(Chemical Engineering)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- 5+ years of industrial chemical experience

The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent leadership, interpersonal writing, and verbal communications skills.
