Job description / Role
Our client is a Publicly listed company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that was founded in 1993 and has grown through new product development and acquisition. The group is made up of plastic packaging and nonwoven textile manufacturing with factories in various regions of Saudi Arabia. An opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced COO to design, develop and implement the strategic policies across the group companies.
The COO will report to the CEO of the Executive Committee and will have three General Managers reporting directly to them.
Key responsibilities will be:
- Motivate and mentor members of the management team and chair meetings with CEO is not attending.
- Together with the respective GM's, manage the company staff, the customers, the budget, the company's assets and all other company resources to make the best use of them to increase the profitability of the company.
- Report to the CEO on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis to keep him informed on each of the companies performance.
- Lead periodic recommendations to business objectives and priorities in line with strategic policies, vision and values of the companies.
- Responsible for the company's affairs, so must comply with the Company HR as well as Corporate Governance Policies.
- Develop KPI to executive team performance and appraisal.
- Recommend changes to all Company Policies to the CEO in coordination with the respective GM's.
This is a senior appointment and an attractive expatriate package is on offer to the successful candidate.
Requirements
In order to secure this position you must be suitably qualified and have proven experience at this level where you have successfully developed and implemented a strategic plan for a large manufacturing business. Previous experience or an understanding of business in the MENA region is highly desirable.
