The RoleThe RoleMy client, a leading banking institution based in Dubai, is looking for a Chief Accountant to join their team. Job Role: „h Ensure sound accounting policies and procedures, and timely closure of daily / monthly accounts. „h Produce accurate and informative financial report for internal and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. „h Keep management informed on daily movements in B/S and P & L and on critical reports. „h Provide qualitative information in the planning and preparation of budgets, forecasts, business plans, strategy, trend and variance analysis etc. „h Progress an effective centralization of the Finance function, across UAE. „h Keep abreast of international accounting practices, standards and regulatory requirements to ensure these are timely adopted. „h Coordinate and progress the implementation of Basel II requirements. „h Maintain tight monitoring of costs and revenues. „h Ensure adequate systems and control to protect company assets, at all times. „h Liaise with internal/external examiners/auditors to ensure timely completion of inspection/audit and release of financials. „h Uplift staff quality and build a superior team of performers across our branches/service centers, in area of responsibility |
RequirementsRequirementsQualified accountant with at least two years experience in a Banking environment or a Part Qualified accountant with at least five years experience in a Banking environment. Experience of supervising staff an advantage |
