Job description / Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the region’s biggest and best known companies, based in Lebanon, heading up the accounting function for a part of the business involved in the management and development of major malls. This company is a major diversified ME based business with companies operating in various industries.
As the Chief Accountant you will have responsibility for the entire Accounting function for the national business dealing with malls. You will be responsible for the preparation of the consolidated group reporting pack and financial statements for the business ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. The role will involve compliance with tax law and GAAP as well as all areas of the accounting process.
Requirements
The successful candidate for this position will have five to seven years experience as a senior member of an accounting team specifically working within a business managing and developing malls. You will also have excellent technical knowledge, specifically within ERP, and leadership ability. You must hold a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in accounting and ideally hold an MBA or professional qualification. You must also be willing and able to work in Lebanon and speak fluent Arabic and English.
