Chief Accountant

Job description / Role

For a Market leader in HVAC products and services.

- Responsible for knowing critical functions within the department and capable of mentoring and assisting employees within the department.
- Utilize teamwork to develop departmental synergy.
- Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports..
- Reviews accounts payables and weekly check runs.
- Determines proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits.
- Compiles and analyses financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts, cost centers and documents business transactions.
- Responsible for distributing financial statements and cost center reports.
- Prepares work papers and supporting schedules for the annual financial review.
- Staff management and development..
- Prepares financial statements and other reports to summarise and interpret current and projected company financial position.

Requirements

- B.S. Degree in Accountancy or Finance.
- Minimum 7 -10 years of experience. Experience with a big audit firm is a solid plus
- Cross check and verify data/records processed by the accountants
- Analyze transactional processes and identify areas where additional accuracies and efficiencies can be achieved.
- Adheres to internal and external deadlines.
- Assist with annual budgets prepares all allocations.
- Coordinate monthly closing process and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
- Develop and implement various accounting procedures.
- Preparation of the monthly accounting reports and annual financial in accordance with accounting standards generally accepted in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Previous Audit experience is a plus.
- Previous ERP experience is a plus.
- CPA / CMA / ACCA highly preferred
- Candidate must be in Saudi Arabia with transferrable Iqama
