Chief Accountant

Job description / Role

Handle the full spectrum of financial and accounting role:
Fixed Assets - Control fixed assets & depreciation, control depreciation schedule and make sure that this schedule match with trial balance
Bank reconciliation - Prepare monthly bank reconciliation at end of each month and control it as per policy
Inter-company - Book all the debit notes and credit notes related to intra companies, confirm balance with inter-company each month & prepare the ICS report
WIP - Prepare the monthly WIP accrual reports, book the WIP accrual JV
Payroll - Prepare the monthly payroll, bank transfer to employees accounts and reconciliation between current month and previous month
Accruals , Prepaid & Deferred revenue and cost - Book the monthly JVs for accruals, prepaid & deferred revenue and cost. Control accruals , prepaid & deferred revenue and cost schedules and make sure that these schedules match with trial balance
Payables - Prepare monthly aging report and commentaries, Prepare & book payments to suppliers on weekly basis. after preparing all the needed documents for each payment. Prepare reconciliations with suppliers every three months

Requirements

5 years in same position in media industry. Preferred in MBU
Fluent in English
Good grip on accounting standards
Ability to prepare monthly accounts
An ability to meet deadlines and resolve complex issues
Experience with reconciliations and internal auditing
Ability to prepare monthly account
Good MS Office skills particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel
Work on accounting programs especially Dolphin
Able to work under pressure
Able to work independently and highly meticulous
