Chief Credit Risk Officer

Job description / Role

Reports To: Group Chief Risk Officer
Subordinates: Credit Department

Main Scope of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead bank's credit department
- Manage entire team of credit analysts in wholesale, MidCap and Retail
- Build up team of credit analysts in MidCap and Retail
- Support the building up of infrastructure and systems environment for newly established businesses
- Adjust bank's modus operandi as required by business strategy and environment e.g. in investment banking and asset management
- Review of credit applications in wholesale, MidCap and Retail
- Act as final approval authority within credit department (subject to approval authority status in the organization)

Requirements

- Economics or business administration degree or background required
- 10+ years as Senior Credit Officer or equivalent in a bank
- Both Wholesale and Retail credit experience mandatory
- Proven team leadership capabilities in a dynamic and challenging environment necessary
- Proven team player with sense of entrepreneurship
- Ability to build up teams and departments a strong advantage
- Knowledge of GCC market environment a strong advantage
