Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Based in Saudi since the 1980s our client is an Operation & Maintenance services company who provides qualified and experienced professional management and engineering expertise. They are currently looking for a CFO for their Riyadh office.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develops finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.
- Establishes finance operational strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change.
- Develops organization prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities; projecting acquisition and expansion prospects; analyzing organization operations; identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement; accumulating capital to fund expansion.
- Develops financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements; identifying monetary resources; developing action plans.
- Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.
- Reports financial status by developing forecasts; reporting results; analyzing variances; developing improvements.
- Provides Executive Management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
- Provides recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities
- Ensures that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with applicable local government regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
- Effectively interfaces with the Board and other organizations
- Familiar with IFRS, US GAAP and SOCPA
- Familiar with US FAR, DCAA Auditing, and US Government Contracting.

Requirements

- BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA in Finance and/or Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant highly desirable.
- Previous experience on US Government Contracts, FAR and DCAA Audits.
- 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles in a major company or division of a large multinational corporation.
- Financial Planning and Strategy, Preparation of financial statements, Managing Profitability, Strategic Planning, Vision, Quality Management, Promoting Process Improvement, Forecasting, Corporate Finance, Developing Budgets, Financial Skills, Dealing with Complexity
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations.
- Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- PC proficiency is essential (Windows environment) and strong working knowledge of MS Office.
