Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a large family group based in Kuwait, with a strong array of international brands and a thriving and expanding business.

The Role

Oversees and directs treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, Information Systems, and insurance activities for the Company.
Oversees the Finance function in providing and directing procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting control and management accounting services. Focus attention to POS System controls.
Directs the Finance function in activities as custodian & deployment of funds, securities and assets of the Company. Directs cash flow planning.
Appraises the Company’s financial position and issues periodic financial and operating reports focusing on financial performance, cost reduction and profit improvement measures.
Directs and coordinates the establishment of budget programs and periodic review of performance and variance.
Analyzes, consolidates and directs all cost accounting procedures together with statistical and routine reports.
Overseas and directs the preparation and issuance of the Company’s Annual Report.
Directs and analyses studies of general economic, business and financial conditions and their impact on the Company’s policies and operations.
Develops and maintains the Company’s Policies & Procedures, Controls and Guidelines.
Reviews Internal Audit Reports, management response and overseas corrective measures.
Ensures the continuity and security of the finance function through human resources development.
Overseas and directs security of legal documents and information against loss.
Establish the financial business objectives for all his subordinates and agrees with them on successful implementation with action plans.
To participate in executive meetings and to ensure strategic plans are translated into achievable financial objectives.

Requirements

Applicants for this role must be professionally qualified, have 10+ years experience and have experience in the restaurant, retail or hospitality sector.
