TGP, a Dubai based company specializing in exhibition stand design and construction, event management, graphics and commercial interiors, is looking for a confident and experienced financial professional with a background in manufacturing, production, construction or the interior fit out to join their team.
Job Title: Chief Financial Officer
Job Scope
Reporting to the CEO and President, the chosen candidate will be part of the organisation’s senior executive team and will be responsible for the overall financial management of the organization. His/her duties will be as follows:
1. Strategic Planning
As a business partner to the CEO and President, the CFO will
• Assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and the organisation’s
• long-term strategy
• Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the CEO and President and make actionable recommendations on the organisation’s strategy and operations
• Oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management in line with the organisation’s strategic plan
• Participate in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, the organisation’s operating
• model and operational execution
2. Financial Planning and Analysis
• Prepare and maintain regular financial planning reports; weekly/ monthly cash flow forecasts and weekly/ monthly profit and loss statements
• Complete analysis of financial results and thereafter develop recommendations for the Business
• Develop and execute analysis of various business initiatives
• Develop and maintain capital budget
• Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets
3. Finance
• Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed
• Oversee cash, investment, and asset management
• Oversee financing strategies and activities, as well as banking relationships
• Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plans
4. Accounting and Administration
• Oversee the accounting department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and function
• Oversee preparation of month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial statements
• Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations and corporate/overhead cost allocation
• Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems
• Serve as final point of escalation for Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable issues
• Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors
• Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures
• Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements
• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance of all financial functions
• Mentor and develop the finance team, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation and the building of an effective team dynamic.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
1. ACA/ ACCA/ FCA qualification
2. IPO experience is highly desirable
3. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior financial-management role in a similar industry (manufacturing, interior fit out, construction, exhibition stand design and build)
3. Proven track record of developing and implementing creative financial management strategies, financial restructuring, implementing costing systems and processes
4. Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, change management and interpersonal skills
5. Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning and organization skills
6. Excellent written and oral communication skills
Package:
$100,000 USD Salary + $25,000 Housing + Benefits
