Our client, a leading Real Estate Developer with interests in Shopping Malls, Hotels, Communities across the Middle East. They have an opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead their growth across the region.

What you'll be doing:
The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) is responsible for creating shareholder value and ensuring effective business performance across the company through developing and delivering annual and strategic financial plans including development plans, measuring and managing risks, reporting and analyzing financial and non-financial data, operating efficiency and acting as a partner to the companys CEO. The CFO is responsible for all financial reporting, planning and control activities for operating assets, development assets, joint ventures as well as new business development initiatives.
This position leads and manages the financial planning and analysis, investment analysis and control function within the company. The CFO plays an integral role in the development and approval process for all incremental investments and developments to ensure appropriate assumptions have been made, polices have been adhered to, and all potential risks adequately addressed.

Assisting the CEO in measuring and managing Enterprise Risk including strategic, financial, operational, development, and commercial risks.

Assisting the CEO in enhancing the organization effectiveness through measuring performance or projects, joint ventures, and assets under operations in order to enhance transparency and improve decision making, and through setting appropriate governance and reporting framework throughout the Company.

Effective capital allocation at the Company level and address diversification/correlations of capital and risks, and ensure capital constraints and funding requirements are addressed at each project, joint venture, operating asset, and at the consolidated Company level.

Assisting the CEO, Development, Asset Management and Marketing to ensure that performance is appropriately measured and provides analysis of financial performance with regular interaction at Board level.

Assisting the CEO for investment analysis of new joint ventures, projects, divestments, and investment reporting of existing investments.

A support partner for all development and redevelopment projects across the business unit. Oversees the development feasibilities cost and revenue budgets and forecasts as well as project scorecards in conjunction with the development team for approval or update. Ensures the monitoring and reporting on project financial performance (actuals vs budget and forecasts) and proactively manages project financial risks and opportunities with the development team to deliver incremental shareholder value.

Supports business development initiatives and strategic plans and leads financial due diligence activities for acquisitions and JV investment.

Requirements

What We're Looking For:
Minimum 10 years post qualification experience providing finance support in a Hotel / Real estate development / asset management environment. Hotel property and operations experience is a requirement.
Demonstrable experience in financial planning, forecasting and strategic planning in a Hotel development/asset management environment.
IT management oversight experience
Legal Services in a hotel/property company oversight experience
Strategic Sourcing/procurement oversight experience
Ability to demonstrate strong commercial acumen
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS.
Demonstrated success in managing and building talent.
Track record in providing finance support in real estate acquisitions, joint ventures, fund accounting and partnerships.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in accounting, economics or finance
Qualified Accountant: CPA, ACA, ACCA, CMA, CIMA
