Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and committed CFO to work for a world leading agricultural company. The successful CFO will be responsible for all accounting and financial activities within Kenya.

Key Roles:

Manage all accounting and financial activities
Manage, train and recruit accounting professionals
Ensure compliance with local tax authorities
Prepare monthly CFO Reports and financial reports
Prepare profitability and cost analysis of business units or segments and identify areas for improvement
Coordinate with controllership, treasury and legal department regarding accounting for financing, investing and inter-company transactions
Coordinate with internal and/or external auditors
Oversee budget process and prepares annual budget
Monitor actual and budgeted capital expenditures
Maintain and update monthly cash projections
Manage treasury activities within Kenya.

Requirements

Personal Requirements:

Should have at least 10 years experience in the Finance industry
Must have previous experience in a similar role
IFRS Knowledge
Multinational finance and accounting reporting experience
Local accounting and tax knowledge is highly advantageous
Must be fluent in French and English
Previous experience in the Logistics and Port industry is advantageous but not a must
Previous experience of working in Africa
