Chief Financial Officer - Company Representative

Salary up to AED 30,000 - 40,000

Our Dubai based client is looking for an outstanding Chief Financial Officer and guide to the board is required for the start-up of a confidential, Private Family Office. The CFO will be called upon to represent the family and negotiate new business ventures and investments. They will be establishing and controlling the financial systems and administrative services of the company, and providing financial information to Chief Executive and Directors.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directing the establishment of financial/accounting principles, procedures and practices in line with legal and corporate requirements
- Ensuring accurate and timely financial reports and forecasts for the whole organisation so as to provide a clear insight into its financial condition
- Advising on the financial implications of management decisions and establishing the financial soundness of proposed acquisitions and divestment of assets or businesses
- Ensuring that the profits of the organisation are protected through the establishment of effective financial controls; implementing and maintaining appropriate management accounting and reporting systems, budgetary controls and expenditure procedures
- Implementing policies to ensure the security of funds and assets, guiding the lodgement of tax (if relevant outside of UAE) and other returns to comply with all statutory requirements, and administering insurance cover and claims.

Requirements

- Requires formal qualifications (ACCA/ACA) and considerable practical experience in financial planning, reporting and control.
- Extensive experience of representing the business via a portfolio of investment activities
- Sound knowledge of international exchange transactions and import/export activities and a considerable range of industries.
- The ability to organise and control major accounting systems is also required.
- Clear strategic vision and creativity combined with the ability to switch rapidly between the necessary administrative and bureaucratic tasks to major strategic projects
- Good sense of priorities, strong commitment and with the flexibility, adaptability and the high energy needed to achieve results in a dynamic, entrepreneurial organisation
