Chief Financial Officer

Job description / Role

Our client is a large Abu Dhabi based Group with interests across the Construction sector. They currently require an experienced CFO.

The Role

The role will include the following duties:

- Manage the finance team of approximately 15 staff.
- Maintain relationships with the banks for the purposes of raising finance.
- Develop, key financial objectives that support the company's strategic plans.
- Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization's mission and help execute staff succession and growth plans.
- Work with the Managing Director on the strategic vision of the business.
- Ensure adequate controls are installed and that substantiating documentation is maintained.
- Budgeting and controlling Group budget.

Requirements

The Person

Min Qualifications
- Graduate.
- CMA or CFA or CPA or ACCA or Equivalent Degree.

Min Experience
-10 years experience in various aspects of Finance and 5+ years of experience in a senior management/director equivalent in the Finance Department.

Job-Specific Skills
- Sound financial skills in all areas (accounting, internal control and management control) - professional accounting qualification essential.
- Experience within Construction industry/Contracting business.
- Good knowledge of business processes.
- Fluent in English is essential with a strong preference for Arabic speakers.
