Job description / Role

Our client is a multinational supply chain company with footprints in most of the continents, including Middle East, Africa and Europe. Over the years, this conglomerate has expanded internationally into other logistics and transportation-related businesses. Due to their tremendous growth, they are actively seeking a Chief Financial Officer on a local hire basis.

Reporting to Chief Executive Officer, the CFO will play a critical role in developing and implementing the overall strategy, including financial management for the business unit in UAE.

In summary, the incumbent is expected to take charge of the full spectrum of the financial planning & analysis, financial accounting, treasury, internal controls, legal, government relations, corporate/public affairs, company secretarial, insurance, procurement and office administration functions, as well as acting as the CEO’s co-pilot, driving the process of setting business strategy and bringing that vision to life.

Requirements

To be a part of this company you will need to be a UK Qualified Chartered Accountant with over 10 years in a similar role, out of which at least 6 years should be in the UAE. This role will require the incumbent to travel to Hong Kong on a quarterly basis. Excellent communication skills in English are definitely a must for this role and candidates with knowledge in Cantonese are urged to apply.
