Company establishment has created this exceptional opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer to join our client’s firm in Doha, Qatar. This firm has secured a number of new projects and now seek to recruit a corporate finance professional to work with the Executive Management Team to set up structure, grow and then stabilise the firm in terms of its financial, accounting and corporate service requirements. This requires a high energy dynamic individual who enjoys challenge and sustained change. The core of this role is to financially control, manage and streamline the financial functions of the firm plus provide strategic financial advisory to the firm. This role also manages all IT and corporate legal for the firm.

Reporting to the CEO and the Board; this role manages a finance and accounting team of 12+ staff and is responsible for the following:

• Direct, lead and performance manage the financials of the group including the day to day management of a multi-cultural finance, accounting and IT team.
• Liaison with key stakeholders, senior management team and Board Members.
• Development and successful implementation of short and long range financial goals, internal control procedures, financial policies, internal audit systems, management reporting systems.
• Ensure record systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
• Management and monitoring of corporate governance compliance and regulations including statutory and budgetary reporting requirements.
• Board Secretary including preparation and coordination of agendas, reports and minutes for Board Meetings. Presentation of management reports at Board level.
• Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems.
• Review of strategic and operational plans in conjunction with the CEO as well as the Board.
• Strategic financial modelling, budgeting, valuations, due diligence and financial / business advisory across the firm including future debt resourcing and restructuring.
• Risk management profiling.
• Working capital / cash flow management, cost reductions and restructuring exercises.
• Legal advisory and external counsel management, as required.
• KPI Monitoring and Management.

Requirements

The attributes we seek include the following:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Commerce with a minimum of 15+ years’ experience in the manufacturing and / or construction sector. Masters qualification will be highly regarded.
• Candidates must possess at least 2 years’ experience in the GCC markets with high growth companies.
• Significant experience required in board reporting and providing strategic financial advisory.
• Experience in managing the IT and Finance function is essential.
• The ability to work across various levels of management and within a multi-cultural environment is essential.
• Displaying superior leadership skills, the exceptional communicator must have superior commercial acumen and display high levels of professionalism and above all, be a team player.
