Our client, a leading property development firm who is a subsidiary of a renowned Saudi business conglomerate, now seek to appoint a Chief Financial Officer to manage the financial aspects of their major property portfolio. This critical role will have key responsibilities at Board Level as well as provide leadership and coordination for all financial and fiscal management aspects of the company operations including; the administrative, business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts of the company.

Reporting to the CEO and the Board, the proven performer we seek will be responsible to:

• Development and successful implementation of internal control procedures, financial policies, internal audit systems, management reporting systems.
• Leadership, development and performance management of a multi-cultural finance and accounting team.
• Financial modelling, budgeting, valuation of business, due diligence, strategic planning, build or sell analysis.
• Debt resourcing and restructuring and familiar with formalities of syndicated loans and covenants.
• Working capital management and cost reduction and restructuring exercises.
• Managing accounting and finance day to day activities, statutory audits and compliance.
• Preparation and presentation of reports at Board level.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and budgetary reporting requirements.
• Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
• Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems.
• Establish and implement short- and long-range financial goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.

Requirements

The attributes we seek for this successful candidate include:

• Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or comparable with CPA, Chartered Accounting or CMA qualifications being essential.
• 15-20+ years’ experience in finance and accounting with at least 10 years’ experience at CFO level ideally in the property, real estate or construction sector. Industry diversity is preferred.
• Must be a proven performer in the achievement of deadlines and targets.
• Strong leadership skills, negotiation abilities, analytical skills essential as well as accuracy and attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication skills as candidates must be comfortable presenting at Board Level.
• Candidates who are familiar with the GCC region and have strong contacts will be highly regarded.
• Fluent English language skills (written and verbal) are essential with candidates with Arabic being highly regarded.
