Exciting career opportunity for a Chief Internal Audit Advisor to be based in Qatar working for leading Sports/Education company.

Role Description

Based in Qatar, the Chief Internal Audit Advisor will be responsible for effectively leading and managing the Client's Internal Audit Unit (IAU) to ensure that it adds value by providing independent and objective assurance and consultancy services to Client's President, Departmental Directors and/or Manager of Client Strategic Business Units' (SBU) on effectiveness and adequacy of internal control, risk management and governance processes. Furthermore, you will also help the Client and its SBUs to achieve their strategic and operational objectives, in addition to ensuring compliance with Client's financial and non financial policies, procedures and standards. You will be responsible developing an annual audit plan using input from the team and stakeholders to identify priorities and resource requirements for the year. As a Chief Internal Audit Advisor you will ensure that the reports are accurate, objective, concise, constructive, complete and timely. You will review related policies and procedures for improvement to ensure that they provide for effective, adequate and efficient financial and non financial internal controls in order to mitigate potential and associated risks.

Requirements

Who we're looking for

The Chief Internal Audit Advisor needs to have the below skills and expertise:
• Previous experience working with a Sports/Education company is a real advantage
• 15 - 18 years work experience. 5-8 years should be in a similar position / responsibility, preferably in a similar Industry.
• MSc in Auditing, Accounting, Finance and/or Business Studies, or MBA in Finance
• One of the following certifications is a must: CIA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CFA
• Ability and willingness to move to Qatar
• Working knowledge of GAAP/IFRS
• Strategic orientation
• Analytical skills
• People management
• Decision Making
• Risk Management
