Job description / Role
Our client is currently searching for an Experienced Legal Professional
Key Accountabilities:
- Act as the primary legal advisor providing comprehensive advice on corporate legal, regulatory, compliance and governance matters.
- Act as the senior advisor to the Board of Directors and client Management on all legal matters and advise the same on all legal risks, implications and possible actions.
- Draft and review external legal counsel engagement policy and negotiate retainer agreements with external legal counsel.
- Develops preventative law strategies, corporate policy and compliance programs to minimize litigation, third party disputes, avoid legal violations, and other potential risks
- Directs and oversees the resolution of corporate and major litigation cases and internal conflicts, including participating in senior management deliberations, developing and overseeing the legal strategy of the most complex and important cases/legal objectives
- Assists Management in reviewing, negotiating and finalizing joint venture, loans and other legal documentation
Requirements
- Masters degree in Law and an Admitted Attorney.(LLM) wit experience in Senior Legal position and Board Secretary in UAE and GCC region
- 12 - 15 years Legal experience in a Corporate Legal team or Law Firm, with at least five years in a managerial role.
Extensive knowledge of and legal experience in the Gulf region.
Arab speakers will be given strong preference for this position.
