Job description / Role
OVERVIEW
Our Oman operation is currently seeking to appoint Chief Mechanics with 12+ years experience working on land rigs with 2,500 HP, top-drive/cybertech experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
He shall have at least 12 years mechanical experience within the oil drilling industry and have at least 2 years supervisory experience.
Requirements
He shall have served a recognised apprenticeship in a suitable mechanical trade.
He shall have a thorough theoretical and practical knowledge of hydraulics as used on rig i.e. Power tongs, Power packs and jacking systems.
He shall have a thorough theoretical and practical knowledge of Pneumatics as used on rig i.e. Air operated winches, control systems and instruments.
He shall be able to communicate fluently in written and spoken English.
