Chief Operating Officer

Job description / Role

Our client is a diverse group based in Abu Dhabi with a strong heritage and track record in the UAE and wider region. They are currently looking to hire an experienced professional to move the business forward working closely with the family members, CFO and HRD.

The duties of COO would be as follows:
- Monitor and manage the group commercial activities allocating in an efficient manner the company's resources
- Evaluate the performance of the group businesses to fulfill organizational requirements
- Identify new business opportunities and formulate strategies to grow existing businesses and to enter into new ventures and markets
- Conduct existing businesses activities in accordance with short or long term strategic planning, participate in management meetings, present solutions to improve the company's performance
- Execute business development strategies
- Report on a regular basis to the Chairman and board members with whom you will collaborate in finding the best solutions and strategies for the Groups future

Requirements

- GCC Family Group experience.
- Be either a Westerner or an Arabic speaker. Applicants outside of these criteria will NOT be contacted.
- Evidence of growing a business at a senior level through diversification and business development.
- Strong ability to set the strategic direction of a group.
- MBA qualified or equivalent.
