Job description / Role

Accountability
1. Ensure low cost and efficient operations of the cement plants.
2. Set operational and procedures and monitor execution related to efficient planning.
3.Oversee special projects and operations optimization

Roles & Responsibilities
1. Ensure smooth plan operations and optimum operating conditions to meet required outputs.
2. Oversee optimal production planning and capacity utilization.
3. Continuously improve process efficiency and productivity of plant machinery and personnel.
4. Ensure efficient inventory and materials management; low cost procurement, and HSSE.
5. Supervise procurement across plants to maximize synergies and minimize inventory.
6. Develop and oversee the implementation of HSSE policies, procedures and controls across all plants in a consistent and affective manner.
7. Create Group-wide infrastructure and guidelines to support initiatives to improve safety and monitor their implementation.
8. Manage new projects through all steps of the process.
9. Develop and manage an Operations Excellence team that will continuously work to enhance and improve plant productivity.
10. Provide procurement services to Shipping department for synergetic items.
11. Ensure efficient knowledge transfer and skills sharing between the plants.

Requirements

Education
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a top tier university.
2. Higher educational focus or certification in Process & Operations Management.
3. Higher educational focus or certification in Project Management.

Experience
1. 15+ years of experience with at least 8 years of experience in an operational role managing cement plants.
2. Proven track record in streamlining processes, optimizing plant efficiency, maintaining high quality products, and overseeing the management of all operations.
3. Proven track record in project management, specifically in managing new plant or line setup and expansion projects.
4. Significant part of work experience in regional cement industry.

Competencies
1. Masterful understanding of the cement industry.
2. Deep exposure and understanding of the MENA region.
3. Expert knowledge of project management methodologies.
