Chief Resident Engineer - Landscape Design & Development

Job description / Role

Representation of Parsons as Chief Resident Engineer - Landscape Design & Development.

- Full technical knowledge and overview of all assigned landscape projects.
- Internal and external advisory role on all landscape design, contractual and construction matters.
- Liaison and meeting attendance with Client offices, other pertinent authorities and contractors representatives. Capability to hold high level liaison and coordination with Client management and Clients senior representatives.
- Full awareness of Client requirements, project status, local and international landscape standards and technical developments.
- Establishment of good relations and professional confidence with senior Client representatives.
- Management of correspondence and documented communications with Client office and preparation of reports, manuals and guideline documents pertaining to specific landscape issues as required by Client. Highly skilled in technical, factual and interpretative reporting.
- Design management role specific to Operations and Maintenance contracts; coordination with Client representatives and management of preparation and presentation for such landscape designs to meet Client requirements and often within tight time limits.
- Management of preparation and provision of specific details, including specifications, rates, quantities and costs, for above Operation and Maintenance design requests.
- Liaison and monitoring of site progress and ensuring that quality of landscape materials, installed site works and operations are consistent with specifications and adopted standards.
- Coordination with other relevant disciplines such as quantity surveyors, costing and planning engineers, civil engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers, architects, etc.
- Communication and meetings with contractors, manufacturers and other professional representatives and organisations to keep abreast of project developments, standards, materials and modern technologies.

Requirements

- Minimum of Masters Degree/post graduate qualification in Landscape Architecture and/or Landscape Management.
- Completion of the relevant professional qualifications and affiliation to a recognized landscape body in the country of education.
- Minimum of 15 years related work experience and a minimum of 10 years experience post professional qualifications.

Degree or Master in Landscape Architect from Western Universities is desired.
