The RoleThe RoleChief Risk Officer ( CRO ) for GCC Financial Services Firm Our client, a well-reputed GCC financial services firm, is seeking to recruit an experienced Chief Risk Officer ( CRO ) with a demonstrated track record of partnering with the senior executive team to contribute to the sustainable growth and development of the bank. Reporting into the CEO, the Chief Risk Officer responsibilities will include: Input to the strategic direction of the bank as a key part of the executive management team from a risk management perspective, Developing and delivering the annual risk monitoring plan, Co-ordinating the monitoring and pro-active management of credit risk , operational risk , market risk and liquidity risk Board-level risk reporting and MIS on compliance with risk management policies Able to analyse and enhance the overall risk governance process Liaising with relevant external stakeholders Developing risk-related policies and guide bank staff in their application Advising business management on risks inherent in BAU and new business initiatives Managing and developing the Risk Management team to deliver the required proactive support to the Banks business line management, Mentoring, appraisal and professional development of the Risk team |
RequirementsRequirementsCandidates are expected to have at least 10-15 years hands-on management experience in a senior role within financial services, in a CRO or deputy CRO position. Experience of the Middle East and international banking regulatory environment is required. Good communication and presentation skills in English required. |
