Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

My client, a leading Media & Entertainment company in the region is currently looking for a motivated Chief of Staff to join their Chairmans Office in Dubai.

The Chief of Staff will report to the Chairman/Group CEO, and will be responsible for
the following (not limited to):

Planning:
- Input to and contribute to the Chairmans strategic schedule planning process;
- Input to and contribute to the Quarterly Board Meetings, assist Group CFO in preparing
Senior Management for Board Meetings and assembling Board Packs (Presentations);
- Inform the Chairman of daily Company developments relevant to overall functioning (HRD,
IT, Finance, Business Development, Office Facilities, etc.);
- General Office Planning and Space Programs;
Input to and contribute to the Business Development (BD) strategy for the responsible BD
Team.

Report Writing:
- Update Chairman on relevant activities on weekly or bi-weekly basis;
- Write and provide to Senior Management reports as required on project progress including
tracking/variances to Budgets and Time-lines.
- Write and prepare Feasibility Studies and/or

Research Papers for the Chairman and/or
Group CFO.
- Write and prepare Communication Plans and white papers.

Objectives:
- Be familiar with Business Strategies, Business Plans & Business Models, with understanding
and analytic overview of Financials (strong MS Excel skills);
- Lead pet BD projects through initial phases, feasibility and fruition;
- Effectively manage Chairmans schedules and tasks through strong organization skills;
- Identify and facilitate Chairmans key priorities and tasks;
- Research and write op-eds and policy papers under Chairmans name for placement in
prestigious international newspapers and journals (Media & Market overview).

Challenges:
- The key challenge of this role is to maintain a holistic view of the business, assisting Managers and Staff in specific Departments as needed while also maintaining a close eye on Chairmans activities and ensuring the Chairmans schedule meets his and Companys Objectives. Position includes many short- and long-term deadlines, which must be balanced. Strategic planning will be a requirement to successfully meet the above criteria.

Salary Budget: AED20k-25k per month + Benefits

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree from a reputable University or College.
- A minimum of three (3) years post qualification in Finance, Media, Writing and/or Research Experience.
- Middle East (ME) Regional experience is an advantage.
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of the Middle Eastern Region and Central Asian Region politics, economical standing and culture.
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of business and investment environment in the ME.
- An understanding and knowledge of business profit and loss statements and financial processes.
- High level of discretion in dealing with confidential matters.
- Computer literate, especially in MS Word, MS PowerPoint & MS Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication (English).
- Ability to build relationships (STRONG COMMUNICATION/PEOPLE SKILLS).
- Cross cultural empathy.
- Language skills relevant to the Region (English, Persian/Dari, Arabic, Urdu).
