Employment: Full Time

The Riyadh Metro project team is looking for a highly experienced Civil Construction Lead to lead a large multi-disciplinary consultancy consortium team responsible for the construction supervision activity on this major rail project.

Reporting into the Construction Manager, this is a senior level position where the chosen candidate will be leading an experienced construction supervision team of both international and Saudi national engineers. The Civil Construction Lead will have a proven track record of advising with the day to-day coordination of works, supervising and certifying construction in accordance with contract conditions, preparing various project reports and coordinating the review and update of designs and cost estimates as required.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Providing construction supervision and construction activity approval management
- Supporting the Construction Managers and leading a multi-disciplinary site construction team
- Interfacing with the design-build contractor
- Providing technical expertise in a variety of at grade, elevated and underground tunnel civil structures
- Preparing work objectives and project requirements whilst identifying specific working systems, procedures, methodology and measures
- Ensuring that the construction activity of the contract adheres contractually
- Assuring construction quality and client design compliance
- Taking responsibility for the project safety and quality by overseeing the inspection of works, quality and safety control documentation
- Preparation and presentation of technical and progress reports for clients
- Taking a lead role in the construction progress meetings

Requirements

- Degree in construction, engineering or related subject
- Minimum of 15 years post graduation experience on major civil projects
- Must have experience on rail, metro, transit or related project experience
- Successful track record of construction supervision
- Recent experience of managing processes, contractual matters, procedure and policies
- Strong construction build technical expertise to guide the client and contractors when decision making
- Demonstrable ability to successfully lead a culturally diverse, muliti-discplinary team
- Excellent communication, social competence and relationship building skills to work with the client and contractors in order to successfully complete the project
- Good project management, commercial awareness and financial management skills
- Fluent verbal and written English language skills

- Middle East project experience
- Top tier consultancy experience
