Due to ongoing growth we are searching for a Design Coordinator to join our Doha office
The Design Coordinator is required to support the Design Manager in the coordination of design disciplines in order to achieve a safe and complete design solution. The role will include establishing and monitoring the common design models and coordinating the design production to avoid clashes and inconsistencies. The Design Coordinator will also monitor the delivered designs for compliance with the design criteria.
Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
The Design Coordinator reports to the Design Manager.
Responsible for the cross-discipline coordination of design information and ensuring that the design is compatible across disciplines. Monitors the effectiveness of the coordination and reviews the design drawings prior to issue.
Responsible for the identification of methods and procedures for improving coordination between design disciplines and making recommendations on their implementation.
The Design Coordinator produces reports on design compatibility issues and makes recommendations on solutions.
Reviews the designs for compliance with the design criteria as part of the coordination review
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
3 years experience in the design of complex highways, structures or utilities projects.
Experience of using single model environments for the design of multi-discipline projects.
Experience with quality control procedures is preferred.
