The RoleThe RoleOur client, one of the fastest growing public safety and security solutions organisations globally, is looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Civil Design Engineer to their UAE team. Our employer seeks a proven performer to assist on their main projects in the region, which include the implementation of advanced integrated security solutions for critical assets, safe city and border protection. Leading the detailed design process for all civil elements and for design changes during the execution phase, you will be responsible for: Managing and supervising design consultants Manage the writing of technical specifications, scope of works, RFP, ATP documents for civil infrastructure Oversee the verification of detailed design packages ensuring compliance with international oil and gas company standards / requirements Provide civil engineering design solutions for design related problems within the design team and design consultants Lead the implementation of new design requirements and design change requests from the projects and the transfer of revised designs to Company Head Quarters Maintain internal and external client and supplier relationships Maintain quality control Assist in the management of cost and time control |
RequirementsRequirementsEssential attributes include: Degree qualified in Civil Engineering with membership of a professional body (ICE, PE) Minimum 10 years experience in civil engineering design Excellent knowledge and experience in civil design combined with a knowledge and appreciation of electrical and mechanical elements Excellent knowledge and experience with International codes and norms is essential Previous experience in oil and gas fields would be highly regarded Previous experience with design review and design supervision would be highly regarded Experience with AutoCAD is essential Excellent communication and interpersonal skills is essential Excellent English verbal, reading and writing skills is essential; Arabic skills would be highly regarded Current drivers licence is essential A competitive salary package will be provided to attract top candidates to the role.
