Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Earth Movement Supervisor, Qatar

15 - 25,000 QAR month (dependant on experience) + car + house allowance + flights + medical insurance + gratuity allowance

You will have well developed skills and competencies in liaising with extensive soil excavation and earth movement (quantities above 1 million cubic meters); site hands on supervision to ensure optimal works are undertaken, while ensuring that site staff are properly trained and focused on operational and logistical efficiencies.

Role Objectives:

Manage operations with focus in client satisfaction and cost control under budget Coordinating with the other sub-contractors (for Dredging, Soil Improvement works, Testing, etc)

Propose, implement, organize and supervise site logistics minimizing idle times.

Prepare "Pre-survey" drawings for the full area of the earthworks (to be done part by part), prior to starting work on any part

Prepare and submit drawings (plans and cross-sections) for the in-survey and out-survey, for each section of the works, in order to confirm the calculation for the volume of "Cut" and "Fill"

Arrange for all passes and permits for personnel and constructional equipment at the Sites

Report potential amendments of drawing as per the site conditions.

Calculate and/or verify the quantities as per the BOQ.

Maintain the soft copy of drawings for future references.

Resources:

Lead & Control subcontractors, skilled labour & work crews engaged in all activities concerned with earth movements and filling works

Optimize resources to ensure efficient & timely completion of the works.

Establish organizational procedures

Progress Control & Reporting:

Cost control, monitoring of weekly budget and reporting for Works in Progress.

Evaluation of the Sub-contractor applications

Calculation of quantities for reconciliation

Cost control and reporting of Projects in progress.

Quality:

Follow the Quality, Safety and Environmental management requirements in your area of applications.

Deliver projects within the framework of risk, sustainability and environmental considerations as agreed at the business case / client brief stage.

Requirements

Bachelor in Civil Engineering

Classified (Grade A desirable) by the Ministry of Urban Planning in Qatar

GCC Experience in carrying out extensive earth and filling works, remediation and rehabilitation of contaminated soil, including after care and maintenance of the rehabilitated areas: Irrigation, monitoring plant growth and survivorship and reporting.

Computer literacy in AUTOCAD, PRESTO AND PROJECT PLANNING

Familiarity with QCS and QA standards and procedures

Be familiar with contract documents .

Able to demonstrate good organization skills

English (written and spoken) and Arabic (spoken, desirable)

Transferable Visa and NOC

Ideally resident of the State of Qatar, however candidates with GCC experience will be considered

Driving License
