Job description / Role
Our client is a Internationally renowned engineering firm and they are hiring Civil Engineers. Your responsibilities will include completing engineering analysis, preparing plans and specifications, reviewing contractor submittals, shop drawings, and RFI's. Work will require independent problem solving, decision making, implementation of standard engineering procedures and overseeing production work of junior engineers and CAD technicians.
The Civil Engineer will coordinate the civil engineering design with the client, project architects, municipal agencies, and other design team members.
Requirements
- Minimum requirements are a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. Master's in Science with structural background
- Three to six (3-6) years of relevant experience in site/civil land development design including site planning, layout, roads, grading, water, drainage and storm water management
- Extensive knowledge of local, national, and international building codes and design practices
- Knowledge of standard construction practices and the ability to work with contractors to address construction issues
- Skilled in AutoCAD, capable of designing site layouts from concept to completion
- Keep clear records of all design decisions, calculations, and project related documentation
- Ability to develop relationships with clients and work autonomously
- Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
- Detail oriented and team skills
