Job description / Role
The purpose of this position is to provide general Civil Engineering support to the project team across all stages of the project.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Undertake engineering design and documentation across a wide range of civil engineering project based on established templates, produce specifications, design documentation and Tender documentation.
- Liaison with drafters and technical staff for drawing production.
- Checking of Drawings and Specifications.
- Carry out site inspections of construction work, and provide support to the Resident Engineer in Contract Administration and Construction Supervision.
- Assistance in the preparation of reports and attendance of design progress meetings as required.
- Management of own workload and utilization.
- Operating in accordance with the corporate health and safety, environment and quality standards.
Requirements
- B.SC in Civil Engineering.
- Should hold a professional Engineer registration from Saudi Council of Engineers.
- Minimum 9 years, including 5 years in roads and bridges construction works.
Previous involvement in a selection of the following:
- Earthworks and Drainage.
- Hydrology and hydraulic analyses.
- Land Development.
- Water Supply and Sewerage.
- Pumping and Pipe Systems.
- Roadworks.
- Construction Supervision.
- Contract Administration.
- High level of general computer skills, e.g. Excel.
TECHNICAL SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated report writing skills of a high calibre.
- Excellent client relationship skills, demonstrated by referees.
- Excellent communication and team skills.
- Able to work to deadlines and under pressure.
- Good problem solving skills & creative thinking (innovation).
- Takes accountability for assigned work.
- Able to take initiative and to be self motivated.
- Takes accountability for assigned work.
