Job description / Role
Job Summary:
To monitor the ongoing structural & Civil activities by implementing the Project Quality Controls
Plans and Procedures in accordance with the Company procedures, International standards and specific Contract requirements.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1- To coordinate with construction crew for on?going civil/structural activities,including but not limited to excavation, backfilling, compaction, rebar inspection, formwork inspection,
Field Density Test, concrete pouring, structural steel etc.
2- To review the contract document prior to start of construction and prepare a QA plan.
3- Implement quality control program for a heavy civil construction project.
4-To coordinate with surveyor to finalize the bench mark survey setting out prior to start of construction.
5- Address Quality Assurance of buildings and civil works such as dimensional checks/visual inspections for earthworks, civil foundation, structures, buildings and buildings subsystems
6- Document, monitor, track, and submit all testing and inspection records and data.
7- Provided guidance and expertise in the utilization of various inspection technologies and application of industry codes, contract requirements and company standards over a wide
array of facilities and infrastructure
8- Address the day-to-day inspection needs of the assigned areas, monitor quality and maintain relevant documents.
9- Review all vendor documentation to ensure compliance with the inspections, test plan and purchase orders.
10- Carry out final inspections to ensure compliance with specifications, contractual requirements and company needs .
11- Must be able to do inspection of structural steel fabrication, erection till final inspection.
12- Must have experience in Pre?engineered building erection.
13- To initiate the RFI’s for Client’s witness of inspection points as per ITPs.
14- To be more proactive to construction crew for advising to correct the activities this could lead to non?conformance .
15- Be vigilant for upcoming scheduled activities in advance to coordinate with 3rd parties inadvance for the activities require testing . Concreting etc.
16- Provide leadership and expertise through audit or inspection to verify engineering deliverables, and off and on site construction meets Horizon quality management systems, health and safety standards and applicable codes.
17- Interface with Subcontractor’s Quality Manager and ensure Quality compliance while work is taking place.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1- Complies with the highest level of safety during all stages of work to avoid any type of incidents and or accidents. Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
2-Complies with all statutory requirements connected with the implementation of project.
( work experience in KSA is a must )
Skills
Familiarity with ISO 9000 quality control & ISO 9001 .
Knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Outlook, and Auto CAD is required .
