Civil Engineer

Job description / Role

The Civil Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design and supervision of a water/wastewater construction program in KSA. The Engineer will not only be responsible in the design and supervision, but he will also play a consultancy role for contractors and other engineers working on the program.

- Management of execution activities on a water-centric program
- Responsible for the execution of the all activities and ensuring they meet standards and regulations
- Prepare technical review documents and reports
- Provide technical advice
- Review and comment on geotechnical reports
- Define the structural recommendation based on soil conditions reports
- Undertake all technical and feasibility studies
- Manage budget and project resources
- Ensure project complies with legal requirements

Requirements

- Degree qualified - BSc in Civil Engineering (or higher)
- Experience in construction management and value engineering
- Structural experience with an engineering consultancy in water/wastewater networks, reservoirs, pump station, mainlines, treatment plants and administrative buildings
- Design of AT LEAST five projects
- Knowledge of geotechnical concepts and processes
- Minimum of total 12 years experience; 10 years international experience (10 years and 7 years respectively for PhD holders)
- Well versed with geological, soil analysis, ground conditions and treatments
- Experience in the use of design software
- Strong communication skills in English and Arabic; both written and spoken
