Civil Manager (FM)

Job description / Role

My client, a prestigious site within downtown Dubai is eagerly seeking a degree educated Civil Manager with a facilities background to join their team.

The purpose of the role is to provide management of the day to day operation of the area, ensuring that all maintenance employees are deployed effectively. Manage the logistics within the area ensuring the maintenance is carried out to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
** To develop, guide, direct, motivate and manage the performance of all direct reports in line with the Performance Management System to assist in the realization of their potential and to enhance their knowledge-based skills.
** Assist the Facility Manager in managing the project in a professional manner in order to achieve a sustained positive image.
** Provide a hands on leadership style, responsible for creating a customer focused culture that is based on delivering results, transparency and trust, whilst building organizational capability and empowerment.
** Analyze the training requirements of employees within the area managed, and arrange for relevant training to take place.

Requirements

Skills required for this position are as follows:

** At least 5 years experience working for a FM consultancy
** Civil Engineering degree
** Vast technical knowledge in:
Carpentry
Masonry
Painting
Glass
Door and hardware shutters
** Practical hands on experience in the above
** Strong management skills
