Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Project comprises the refurbishment and upgrading of various pump stations in the vicinity of Qatar.

Provide all necessary on-site direction and issue site instructions. Supervise site inspection staff. Check measure of work done. Observe site safety practices. Understands all related codes and their application to the project. Prepare and provide regular progress report. Ensure correctness and completeness of “as-built” drawings.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University or Institution to the approval of the Engineer. Minimum 10 years demonstrated experience in all aspects of supervision of similar size sewage in refurbishment & upgrading, design and build, treatment works, pump stations or equivalent construction projects.

Experience must include all environmental protection aspects of the construction and operation of large refurbishment & upgrading sewerage projects. Particular emphasis on Micro tunneling works procedures, machinery setup, monitoring micro tunnel site activities (jack, laser setting tunneling), review drive records, must process the knowledge of surveying methods and techniques will be advantage.

Ensure the compliance of the constructed drive with project’s specifications and international standard.

Must demonstrate skills to review and justify technical proposals evaluate its constructability, solving technical problem that may arise during construction.

Experience must include all environmental protection aspects of the construction and operation of refurbishment and upgrading of rising mains, treatment works, pump station.

Particular emphasis on Quality Assurance Specifications and Statistical Quality Control. Should be able to review and justify the material submissions analyze laboratory and technical reports, carry out acceptance sampling plans, testing and quality measures, ensuring the compliance with the project’s Specifications.

Ability to prepare accurate QA/QC Plans and have the ability to lead and motivate a project QC team, write clear, brief and accurate technical reports.

Must have the ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc.

Proactive acumen and an ability to manage multiple sites is essential.
