Civil/Structural Engineer - Al Sadir Stadium - Baghdad

Job Summary
Responsible for review of Civil/Site Drawings, supporting calculations and specifications. Coordinates the flow of technical documents (requisitions, drawings, specifications, calculations) between interfacing engineering disciplines. Provides a comprehensive design expertise on multi-disciplinary projects with a multidisciplinary team of Engineers providing a professional service to clients.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Control the preparation and completion of all civil/site deliverables.
• Reviews work produced by others to ensure timely and accurate results. Completes performance evaluations for those assigned.
• Ensures compliance of design with all applicable standards and regulations, providing the seal and signature of the professional engineer when required.
• Provides technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.
• Conducts studies and site investigations.
• Field support for construction.
• Helps determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule.
• May assist Section Supervisors with other administrative and technical duties.

Specific skills required
• Must be able to organize, analyze, and evaluate technical data to solve detailed engineering problems
• Must be familiar with the latest Analysis & Design Software and familiar with International Standards.
• Must be able to make decisions, act on own initiative and operate in a pro-active way.
• Should be flexible and willing to travel to other offices and client offices

Requirements

Qualification
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

• Good communication skills in both Arabic & English languages
• Accuracy & precision of work
• Must have good presentation skills
• Good problem solving skills

• Maintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.
• Accountability for assigned work
• Previous experience to control mega sized sports projects is an advantage.
