Due to continued success in the country we are now seeking an experienced Claims Researcher to join our already established team in Oman.

The Claims Researcher will hold the following responsibilities and duties:
- The Claims Researcher will report to the Claims Manager and will be responsible for reviewing contract documents for specific packages of the Muscat International & Salalah Airport Projects.
- The Claims Researcher shall work closely with a Claims Administrator and a Commercial Manager.
- Review the Contract generally to establish any contractual entitlements and the basis for EOT and cost recovery in the Contract.
- Review claims by Contractor and issues raised for further EOT.
- Analyse any cost data provided by the Contractor and consider for evidential linkage to delay events.
- For any time for which there is no entitlement advise on the clients entitlement to Penalty recovery and any other entitlement to damages.
- Liaise with named personnel i.e. lawyers, insurance supervisor, finance, Contracts Department, quantity surveyor engineer, management etc as necessary.
- Prepare a complete report for the client on the findings of the above and any likely entitlements of the Contractor.
- Assist the client as required in reaching any settlement position and advise on potential settlement strategies.
- Advise on the possibilities and implications of further recourse to dispute procedures.

Requirements

- Minimum of 5-10 years post qualification experience
- 3 years experience working in a similar role in the Middle East
- Ability to relate and interact successfully with a multi-cultural workforce at all levels is essential.
- Must have outstanding communication skills in written and spoken English and be capable of representing the company on commercial issues with the client.
- High degree of accuracy required.
- Must be able to work both independently with a proactive approach and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Should be able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
