The RoleThe RoleAl-Futtaim Logistics is a leading Supply Chain Management company in Dubai, UAE, with our major shareholder being one of the largest business houses in the lower Gulf region. Al-Futtaim logistics, started as a small warehouse for Al-Futtaim products about 25 years ago, and has developed over the years into one of the largest logistics service providers in the UAE. We have nearly 500 people on our diverse team from 20 different countries. We offer superior pan-Arab supply chain management solutions including warehousing and distribution, freight forwarding as well as IT solutions and Supply Chain Design and Consulting. The company has an international network of offices and agents for overseas freight and warehousing and distribution centers in all major UAE cities and ports.We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Clearance Assistant to work from our Abu Dhabi based operations. Reporting to the Clearance Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring all the vehicle import through Abu Dhabi is cleared and process the documents from customs and seaport authority. Your main duties and responsibilities will include: * Execute the assigned tasks throughout the tenure of the relationship and promote the partnership between all customers, authorities and Al Futtaim Logistics * Timely collection of VCC and submission to Auto Units same day * Arrange approval of relevant certification through government regulatory bodies * Ensure timely customs inspection and documentation requirements for all shipments * Submission of customs duty payment or Standing Guarantee documents as per schedule * Submission of original documents for refund of customs deposits * Manual processing of Bill of entry and related payments to port * Work in close cooperation with all operations and team leaders * Arrange fuelling for all new vehicles and records for billing input. |
RequirementsRequirementsTo apply for this role you should have the following skills, experiences and qualifications: * Bachelor degree or equivalent * Minimum 3 years experience as a Clearance Assistant * Experience as a PRO in the local market * Excellent written and spoken English * Knowledge of Arabic language is an advantage In order to be considered for this role it is important that you must have a valid Abu Dhabi Customs Pass (permit for clearance) from Abudhabi customs department. Candidates who do not have this will not be considered. |
